What I Wasn’t Prepared For…

I could prepare for the move and get the house ready, the thing I couldn’t prepare for was how sad my kids were when we were at the airport. After saying goodbye to their aunts and uncles and cousins, all 4 of them had separate breakdowns in the airport. It was so sad. I really wasn’t prepared for it. We just hugged them tight and let them know that they could see them anytime through FaceTime or Skype. I felt so bad and didn’t know if they’d ever be okay again. I kept thinking, “maybe I should have just planned a vacation.” but I knew this was right for our family so I tried to push that out of my mind.

I watched them sad as they sat down on the airplane but as soon as they started up the engine each and every one of them got a huge smile of excitement and they were happy again!! I was so glad to see, especially Ashley’s, huge smile on her face! I knew we’d been given a gift and they would all be okay. 🙂 Such a relief!
