Toro Verde Adventure Park – The Beast (La Bestia) and Ropes Course – 6 days until we Leave

Today we went to Toro Verde Adventure Park. This is one thing that Jordan really wanted to do before he left PR.

We got going really early and almost made it there when our awesome mini van stopped working. We were 3 minutes away! We talked about walking. I walked down the hill a bit to a little store that where in my horrible, but improving spanish, told the girl that our car had broken down. In no time, there were 2 men there to tow our car to the nearest mechanic, just down the street. He was so nice! Turns out there was one bolt that came loose! We were so grateful for these men who stopped everything to help us! When we offered to pay the men who towed us they wouldn’t accept it. We absolutly love the people we’ve met in Puerto Rico!

We made it to the park just in time! The storm clouds were just rolling in but everything still looked good! Isn’t it so beautiful! This town in called Orocovis. The people who live there told me it’s a safe, friendly little town with no crime and great views all year round!

Waiting for Jordan’s turn on the zip line.

He’s ready to go! We had to weight 105 lbs. to do the zip line so he’s wearing a 8 lb. weight vest under his jacket. 🙂 Totally worth it!

First they load everyone who is going into this truck, they drive them to the start of the Zip Line and drop them off. They drive to the other side to pick them up. As soon as I find it, I’ll upload the video of him on the Beast. He loved it!

While we waited for Jordan John decided to try the ropes course. This isn’t just any ropes course. It’s super challenging. Perfect for my daring, strong, determined 10 year old! Ashley wanted to do it too but only had flip flops so she couldn’t. Make sure to take along your closed toe shoes!

Amazing, beautiful day at Toro Verde!

Little side note … this is where Dylan tripped on John’s foot and broke his arm. Tough guy! We didn’t even know it was broken until the next day.
