I’m doing better today. Ryan’s holding up okay but has been really sad and the kids are doing well.
We found out at primary children’s hospital that she has what called tricuspid atresia. It’s a problem where her right ventricle (a part of her heart that normally pumps blood to her lungs) is not forming because it isn’t getting any blood. She has some other parts that haven’t formed so no blood can get to it. The doctors can get her left ventricle to do all of the work so it’s a miracle. We’re really blessed that we’ve been born at this time and are able to have a “fix”. We were so worried that we would lose her. We’re so happy that we’ll get to see her grow up and that she can have a very full amazing life. We’re so sad that she’ll have to endure a lot of pain early on in her life. She’ll have her first surgery when she’s 1-3 days old, the 2nd at 3-6 months and her third between 2-4 years, we are praying for a miracle. We are praying that her right ventricle will get more blood and that she will be able to do very well when she’s born. She’s our miracle baby.
This is super basic, we’ll post more when we know and understand more of the details.
We’re trying to name her but her name hasn’t come to us yet. Hopefully soon.
