Look at this perfect little girl. You’d never know that her heart is needing special attention. She just looks perfect.
We went back to our hospital room at about 3am and got some sleep. We were back to the CICU at about 7 to check on this cutie.
We found out that overnight she kept stopping breathing because of the medicine they have her in to keep her heart duct open until surgery.
Her first ECHO
She is ok but breathing with a heavy flow oxygen tube. We will be meeting with the cardiologist more today to learn what they found during the EKG last night.
She got some excited visitors.
Ashley’s pretty worried about her but we think she looks pretty good.
John Holding her hand
Everything I read before we had Grace made me think that we wouldn’t be able to hold her at all after she was born but here we are holding her for the second time and it’s pretty much for as long as we want as long as they don’t need to do anything with her. She’s so fun to hold. We get a little nervous with the cables and especially with the high flow but it’s worth it!
They are planning on the first surgery sometime next week depending on how well she is doing.
She is a beautiful baby and we feel blessed to have her here.
She’s also taking a binki which will help her practice sucking while she’s not able to eat.
We have 4 of the best kids in the world and the best family and friends!
We know these miracles come from good thoughts, prayers and fasting from you. Thank you for doing these things. This sweet girl is a fighter. We can barely even look at her without getting tears of gratitude.
There are so many more miracles that I’m not mentioning because this is already so long. Today she got a blessing and she’s looking good. Her apnea keeps us on our toes but she’s pink and beautiful.
BTW… They did not find and fluid around her heart or lungs. Another blessing.
