Buyé Beach, Cabo Rojo

We spent our day today at Buyé Beach in Cabo Rojo. Map The guy at Papa’s Pizza told us about it and it was truly amazing. Every day I just have to pinch myself. I just say, to myself, “Did we really do it? I can’t believe we actually moved here!” It’s still unbelievable to me.

Besides the cloudy, but warm water swimming…

We found this awesome rope swing a little ways down the beach. The boys thought it was a lot of fun, as you can tell by the look on their faces!

And, of course, we topped it off with another amazing sunset.

*Parking in the lot is only $3 and totally worth it.

*There are showers at this beach! It is $.50/ about 2 minutes and totally worth it!

  1. Hi there! I stumbled upon your blog, and am impressed! You have a beautiful family.

I grew up in Cabo Rojo, and these pictures make me so homesick. Not only do I miss the landscape and weather but I miss my people. With all my travels I have come to realize that the people of this island are the friendliest, warmest people. I miss the culture.

Currently, we live in California. My husband is American. I’m hoping with a little persuasion he’ll be open to the idea of moving to Puerto Rico. I regret not having thought of it sooner. Our children would have loved it. But that is how I found your blog. Enjoy the island.

      Thank you Sara!

We do love your home so much! I totally agree with you that the people on this island are amazing! That’s a big reason why we love living here. We actually have a huge place in our hearts for California as well.

I hope you can come, at least visit, soon so you don’t have to miss it so much!
