Best and Worst Things We Brought to Puerto Rico

If I’d know what I know now about moving here there are a lot of things I would have packed and not packed. As most of you know, we only brought 7 bags with us so we had to be picky.

Here’s our Best and Worst list:

Best:

1. Blendtec – We use this for EVERYTHING!

2. Sheets – So comforting to know my head was on my own pillow case!

3. Beach towels – They protect electronics and serve us daily.

4. iMac – We didn’t think it would make it and it did! Great decision!

5. Rip Stick

6. Juicer – We haven’t used it a lot but I’m glad we have it.

7. Legos – My boys love their Legos. We just brought a small container but their still so happy to have them.

8. Ashley’s American Girl Dolls

9. Essential Oils – Currently keeping bugs off and healing bites when we forget to wear them..

10. All of Ryan’s work equipment, microphones, computer monitor, cables, hard drives, ect..

Worst:

1. Warm Clothes – Seriously! When am I ever going to need these?? The answer: November 7, 2014. I wore pants tonight. Never thought I’d say that.

2. Books – Don’t get me wrong, you’ll still want your books but have them shipped. Books, CD’s and DVD’s can be shipped by media mail which is very inexpensive and much better than lugging them around an airport.

As I’m writing this list I’m sitting here laughing because I can’t think of anything else. I guess that means I just needed to bring one more bag and I probably could have had everything on my wish-list with me in PR.

Bonus List- What I wish I’d brought:

1.Family Pictures

2. stapler

3. whisk

4. Ice Cream Scoop

5. Measuring Cups

6. Hole punch

7. The kid’s Long Board
